Manhattan Transfer 의 (Wanted) Dead Or Alive
이 노래는 재즈 그룹 Manhattan Transfer(Java jive 로 잘 알려진 Jass 그룹)가
1981년 발표한 Mecca For Moderns 라는 앨범에 수록된 곡입니다.
그 당시 Boy From New York City 라는 노래를 듣기 위해 위 앨범을 샀었는데
아는 형에게서 (Wanted) Dead Or Alive 라는 노래를 소개 받고는 알게 되었었지요.
세계의 포악한 독재자들을 비난하고 조롱하는 노래라고....
거기에 당당히(?) 껴있는 '박정희' 이름 석자를 들으며 얼마나 창피하던지...=_=;;
이 노래는 우리나라에 정식 수입된 라이센스 판에는 빠져 있었습니다.
금지곡으로 묶여 방송도 탈수 없었죠....
하지만 원판을 복사한, 흔히 빽판이라 말하던 해적판에는 실려 있었기에
그 당시 다운타운가, 음악다방등에서는 심심치 않게 틀어 주었답니다.
