On May 24, about 40,000 koreans were marching with candles in their hand on Sejong street of Seoul. They were women with their children, students, farmers, handicapped people, and other citizens who objected beef import!!s from the US.
5월 24일 약 40000여명의 한국인들은 손에 촛불을 들고 서울 세종로에서 행진을 하고있었다. 아이와 함께 한 여성들, 학생들, 농부들, 장애인들 그리고 미국으로부터의 소고기 수입에 반대하는 시민들이 있었다.

Beef import!!ation is currently the hottest issue in Korea because the goverment decided to import!! beef that was 30 mos. old or more with materials. Older cows have a greater chance of carrying mad cow disease. What aggravates people the most is that they could be used as human lab rats to test for the mad cow disease.
정부가 30개월 혹은 그 이상의 소고기 수입을 결정하였기 때문에 이는 현재 한국에서 가장 이슈화 되어있다. 늙은 소들은 광우병을 옮길 가능성이 높다. 사람들을 가장 화나게 한 것은 그들이 광우병 테스트를위한 실험용 쥐로 사용될 수 있다는 점이다.

People have voiced their opinions in hopes that the government will negotiate again to lower the age of beef. However, the government ignored. So people gathered with candles to speak their minds. After singing and sharing opinions, they marched along Sejong street.
사람들은 정부가 낮은 연령의 소고기를 수입하도록 재협상 할 것을 주장했으나 무시당했다. 그래서 사람들은 그들의 마음을 외치기위해 촛불을 들고 모였다. 그들은 노래를 부르고 의견을 공유한 뒤 세종로를 따라 행진했다.

More and more people joined and police started to blocked them to dismiss the gathering but failed. Soon the police pushed and hit people with shields and began to take people away who seemed to take the lead. Then, water sprinklers arrived and shot water forcefully at them. Many of them cried and shouted about the freedom of speech.
점점 더 많은 사람들이 모였고 경찰들은 그들 무리를 놓치지 않기위해 막기 시작했으나 실패했다. 곧 경찰은 사람들을 방패로 밀치고 내리쳤으며 리더로 보이는 사람들을 연행하기 시작했다. 그 뒤 곧 살수차가 도착했고 그들을 향해 강력한 수압의 물을 발사했다. 많은 사람들은 울었고 표현의 자유를 외쳤다.

When the day broke, on-ly 1,000 people were left and were preparing another march that will be held on Sunday.
At this time, the most surprising thing is that most Koreans didn't know about that situation. They can't hear from radio, watch on TV or read an article on newspapers about it because the government blocked all major broadcasting system and most internet portal sites and newspapers. nullly few minor internet news have coverage about the scene.
하루가 지나고 오직 1000여명의 사람들이 남아 일요일에 있을 다른 행진을 준비했다. 이 시점에 가장 놀라운 점은 대부분의 한국인들은 이 상황에대해 몰랐다는 것이다. 그들은 라디오, TV, 신문기사를 통해 이에대해 듣지도 보지도 읽지도 못했다. 이유는 정부가 모든 주요 언론, 대부분의 인터넷 포털사이트와 신문들을 차단하였기 때문이다. 몇몇 소수의 인터넷 뉴스만이 이 상황에대해 보도하고있다.

People who knew the situation through cell phones shouted about 'the freedom of press'.
Now about 80% of Koreans have negative views of the president and reprimand his poor administrating ability and his dictatorial attitude toward people. Korea is a democratic republic. Everyone knows that except President Lee Myung Bak and his admininstration.
핸드폰을 통하여 이 상황에대해 알았던 사람들은 '언론의 자유'를 소리쳤다.
현재 약 80% 한국인은 현 대통령에대해 부정적 시각을 갖고있으며 그의 무능력한 국정운영과 국민에 대한 독재적인 태도에 견책하고있다. 대한민국은 민주공화국이다. 대통렁 이명박과 그의 행정부를 제외한 모든사람들이 알고있다.
