Data Flow management
Orchestrates data flow between line interface modules and trunk modules to deliver uninterrupted service

High performance to the backbone


  • Up to 4 DS3 or OC-3 trunk interfaces enables high performance aggregation of user traffic


  • Enables options to reduce oversubscription problems as user bandwidth requirements increase

Interface with carrier ATM network


  • Provides copper T1 or E1 interfaces to integrate Stinger DSL system with existing ATM infrastructure to carry traffic from aggregated DSL subscribers


  • Provides coaxial DS3 or E3 copper interfaces to integrate Stinger DSL system with existing ATM infrastructure to carry traffic from aggregated DSL subscribers


  • Provides fiber optic OC-3 or STM-1 interfaces to integrate Stinger DSL system with existing ATM infrastructure to carry traffic from aggregated DSL subscribers

Interoperable with 3rd party solutions
Wired for DSL program tests solution with 3rd party products to ensure interoperability and increase customer deployment options.

Loop test access


  • Path Selector Module provides functionality of loop test access when used with a LPM, can test any subscriber line attached to the Stinger chassis.


  • Copper Loop Test utilizes integrated test head that enables service providers to quickly isolate network disturbances and save testing deployment costs

MultiDSL technology support


  • Flexible choices of DSL technology to fit your customers’ needs.


  • Mbps downstream and up to 1 Mbps upstream. Provides high performance deployment for residential and consumer applications.


  • 32 ports of IDSL per line card supporting up to 144 Kbps (up and downstream) over single copper wire pair. Provides a cost-effective, long reach option for deploying DSL services up to 18,000 feet from central office.


  • 32 ports of HDSL2 per line card supporting up to 1.544 Mbps (up and downstream) over single copper wire pair. Provides low cost option for T1 services to business users.


  • 48 ports of SDSL per line card supporting up to 2.32 Mbps. Provides low cost option for DSL services to businesses at speeds greater than T1.


  • 48 ports of ADSL G.lite per line card supporting up to 3.072 Mbps downstream and up to 544 Kbps upstream. Provides low cost deployment of ADSL to residential users and simplifies installation eliminating need for a splitter on customer premises.

Multiservices support


  • ATM Quality of Service (QoS) enables support for multiple services including data, voice, and video.


  • Support for UBR, CBR, VBR-rt, and VBR-nrt traffic flows.

Rack mountable


  • 19- and 23-inch rack mountable.

Surge protection
Serves as safeguard between subscriber loops and Stinger LIMs, providing surge protection, reducing downtime and keeping revenue streams flowing.
