1911년 2월 6일 미국 일리노이주 출생하여 1932년 유레카대학교 경제학과 졸업했고, 1937년부터 약 50편의 영화에 출연을 했으며, 1966년 캘리포니아 주지사 당선되었고, 1980년 제40대 미국대통령 당선되어 1981년부터 1989년까지 8년간 미국대통령으로 재임했습니다.

PS. 터미네이터에 출연했던 아놀드 슈왈츠제네거가 레이건과 비슷한 행로를 걷고 있는것 같습니다. 지금 아놀드 슈왈츠제네거도 캘리포니아 주지사입니다. 어느 신문기사를 보니 아놀드 슈왈츠제네거의 경우에는 오스트리아 출신으로 미국에 귀화했기 때문에 대통령과 부통령에는 출마할 수는 없다고 합니다. 정말 그럴까요?
